This Ancient Pu-erh Tuo Cha is my everyday go-to tea. Love the depth of flavor!

Drink of Substance

I thoroughly enjoyed drinking this tea. This is not a delicate choice. There is a sense of a fullness to the tea as I sip it.

The taste follows that fullness. I have never been able to detect subtleties as when the write ups will declare “a hint of …” so I cannot offer an adequate description. I can tell you that it feels as if you’ve joined with something solid and dependable

My special occasion tea

This brewed tea's dark color may suggest it would be overly strong and bitter. Instead it is a smooth, silky tea that even has umame qualities. Great on its own or with a bit of cream and sugar.

A decent, if mild pu erh

Great flavor and nose that evolves over steeps but is just a bit too mild for what I normally expect from a pu erh. Overall serviceable and enjoyable but don't go into it expecting a coffee-like pu erh experience as some provide.
