The Hathikuli Tea Estates are one of Assam’s most prominent organic tea plantations. Hathikuli, loosely translated to mean “a place frequented by elephants”, has for generations focused on a community-first approach to farming where they integrate the needs of their community, their tea, and the natural environment around their estate.

This Black Tea from Assam will have a distinct sweet maltiness reminiscent of dates and honey. We recommend that your first cup of this tea be served neat so you can experience all of the intricate flavors of this wonderful Hathikuli Black tea.

The one I've been searching for

Brings back the best memories of trekking in Nepal, India and Assam. Tried a lot of teas; for me, this is the one.

Very smooth!

The only way to ruin this tea is use far too much tea and steep way too long. I like it made with 1 tsp tea to 12 oz water and steeped for as long as I forget about it, usually about 5 minutes. It’s so smooth that I don’t need to add anything. I have even steeped it twice and the second time gives the tea a mild, gentle, but still tasty flavour.
