It is as described: it's a robust, do-a-few-kickboxing-highkicks-in-your-living room sort of caffeine punch that I enjoyed, and it also has full flavor, not just hinting at the chocolate or puerh. It's a really solid, bold, delicious black tea!

When I saw extra high caffeine, that got my attention, and when I read the ingredients, I was sold. I love black & Pu'erh blends, and nothing goes better with Pu'erh than chocolate. When you open the bag, the smell will make you wish the water would heat up faster! Most tea blenders add dark chocolate chips, which have real sugar, but this tea has chocolate flavoring, so no sugar. Unsweetened, this blend is bold but has surprisingly soft edges and no bitterness. The dark tea flavor lingers for just the right length of time. Add sweetener (I use liquid Splenda) and the chocolate comes to life. Add heavy cream and you have a rich, thick breakfast masterpiece. Very few of the samples I buy make the list of teas I buy regularly, but this is my newest addition to that list.
