This reminded nds me of the first tea I really liked (Constant Comment) with a similar flavor profile, but a bit more complex. Perhaps a bit too complex for me. For my morning kick I prefer something not quite so complex yet with a pleasant flavor, like citron mint black.

Imagine a half-burnt log. You know...completely black but not yet ash? Now steep that for about 4 minutes in boiling water and you get approximately the same result as this tea. I could not taste any bourbon or chai flavors...just charred wood.
On the plus side, this does actually allow some interesting combinations. Mixing this with Pumpkin Pie Chai in ~1:5 ratio (more pumpkin) gives a nice smoky undertone to the pumpkin pie that is much better than either alone.

I was skeptical, but this tea is really nice! There’s a bit of smokiness, which is not overpowering.

Strongly flavored chai that requires milk and sugar to round out the flavors (as many chai teas do).
