- 2-2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree
- 100 ml of whole full fat milk, or a dairy free alternative such as cashew milk
- ½ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice
- 1 teaspoon of honey or brown sugar
- A drop of vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons of strong loose leaf black tea such as Organic Assam
- 100 ml of boiling water
Instruction:
- Bring fresh spring water to a boil.
- Steep tea leaves in 100 ml of boiling water for about 5-10 minutes. The longer you steep, the stronger the flavor. It’s important to choose the right type of tea because some may have a lot of bitterness if over-steeped. Strain the tea into a mug.
- Add 2-3 tablespoons of pumpkin puree and pumpkin pie spice into a small saucepan and cook while stirring for about 2-3 minutes.
- Add whole milk, honey, and vanilla extract and simmer over the low-medium fire for about 10 minutes. Whole milk will give the creamiest drink. For a dairy-free alternative we recommend using creamy cashew milk or creamy coconut milk. Other, less creamy alternative is almond milk.
- Pour into a mug with tea.
- Stir and top up with whipped cream.
