What are the benefits of drinking cinnamon tea?
If you like the flavor of cinnamon, you may not need any extra reasons to include it into your diet. However, cinnamon may provide many health benefits too. Studies showed it has anti inflammatory, anticoagulant, antioxidant, antidiabetic, anticancer and antibacterial properties. It may help lower body fat, thus help with weight loss goals, and may be beneficial in preventing heart diseases.[1] There are different types of cinnamon, with the most popular ones being Chinese or Cassia cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia) and Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum). Ceylon cinnamon is considered the “true cinnamon”. You can use both for making tea, but they have a slightly different flavor. Ceylon cinnamon has a lighter, naturally sweet flavor, while the Chinese cinnamon may have a slightly stronger spicy note. Chinese cinnamon should be consumed in lower quantities. Unless making tea lattes, choose crushed cinnamon bark or cinnamon sticks, rather than ground cinnamon powder. Powder will give a murky color to your tea.Cinnamon Apple Tea
